The approximate period of time it took to build the Rideau Canal.


Actually, I put this page here to see if anyone has read the Rideau Index Page in any detail. Obviously you did <grin>.
Now my question to you is ... do you have a dictionary handy??

(Hint: initial work started in the fall of 1826 and the canal was essentially completed by the fall of 1831)
