| An osprey will normally seek out a high point to build a nest - such as the top of a tree or one of the nesting plaforms placed on telephone/power poles in the Rideau area. However, this particular one has chosen a rather odd spot, a tiny rock island. The young osprey in this photo (in nest) is probably only a week or two away from being able to fly from the nest. |
