Boathouse Dawn photo by: Ken W. Watson |
This is a view of dawn at Chaffeys Lock usually experienced only by anglers (who tend to head out early) and silly paddlers such as myself who get up before dawn to experience the peace and tranquility of early morning paddling. This is typical of any early morning excursion on the Rideau - the water flat calm, a bit of mist lazily hanging over the tranquil surface. In this case, the iconic boathouses at Chaffeys Lock add a nice bit of ambiance to the scene.
