Martelloed photo by: Ken W. Watson |
A small flotilla of boats made its way from Kingston to Ottawa as part of the Rideau Canal Festival. In this case, Parks Canada's boat, Rideau Voyageur, has been decorated to represent the British contribution to the canal. Festooned with union jacks, the vessel is well defended with two martello towers. With canons in the towers and a stone wall protecting the bow, the Rideau Voyageur is ready to repel all boarders.
