| The Rideau Cup Dog Sled Race starts at the lock at Newboro, heads out across Newboro Lake to Crosby, then over to the Cataraqui Trail and follows the trail over the Iron Bridge to the turn-around point at the old Chaffey's train station. This 25-mile distance (there and back) is run twice, over two days, to make a 50-mile race. In this photo a team races along a section of the Cataraqui Trail near Chaffey's Lock Road. |
