| Lockmasters do much more than simply maintain their lockstations. They take great pride in making them nice places to visit. At Davis lock, lockmaster John Watt, following the tradition of others before him, plants annual flowers at various spots around the lockstation. It is one of the reasons people come back year after year to stop and take a walk around the lockstation, enjoying the view and smelling the flowers. |
