| This short (6 minute) photo video will take you from Burritts Rapids Lockstation to the Long Island Locks. This section of the Rideau is knows as The Long Reach, the longest stretch of water on the Rideau Canal uninterrupted by locks (25 mi / 40 km). In the addition to the locks the video takes a brief look at the Burritts Rapids dam, Kemptville Creek, Kars, Manotick and Watson's Mill. Click on the Play Arrow button in the middle of the video to start it. This is part of a south to north series of the Rideau Canal, each video focussing on a single lockstation and the waterway between it and the next lockstation. |
